#67 | no more underwire
I never thought it would be possible for me!!
Note: This post is about bras and while I believe this is a topic men should be comfortable reading about in the year 2025, here is a warning in case the 3 men subscribed to this Substack want to skip this one.
Please believe me when I say I have tried every single wireless bra option available to me, and none of them have worked. The last time I got measured in May I was a 36E and none of the wireless options could keep up with the level of support required. And even if they provided support, the aesthetics were… not great, and they weren’t comfortable enough to be worn all day.
I’d resigned myself to the underwire life but after seeing countless influencers rave about Eby’s Relief bra, I finally relented & gave it a try.1
I’m so glad I did! There was a brief moment in my youth where it was very exciting to start wearing a bra, but otherwise they have been the bane of my existence for the last 25 years. I have now replaced all of my bras with these & only worn an underwire twice in the last 5 months. They provide both support and aesthetics, and they’re comfortable enough I barely notice them.
I’ve tried multiple styles: the Relief bra is my favorite, by far. It fits well under clothing and I like the fact that it has a standard clasp in the back and adjustable straps. The Wireless bralette is a nice lounge option — it’s soft and smoothing, and I would wear this one on a long-haul flight.
I actually tried the Sheer bralette a year or two ago, and it was comfortable but I felt a little too exposed in it to wear it outside the house. I think I’m going to try again in a different size; I suspect the trick to this one is sizing down.
The Support bralette is the last one I need to try, and it’s current en route to me right now (I think perhaps lost in the mail? tbd). I’ve heard excellent things & I like the mesh back, but I’m not sure how I’ll feel about the pullover style. I will report back!
Eby is pretty good about running sales, but right now they have their unlimited BOGO sale which is the best deal. It even includes their bundles, which are already discounted. Great time to try a couple styles, or to stock up on your favorites.

THANK YOU! As a longtime member of the big bazoonga committee, I've had a hard time with EBY, because the first model I tried was the mesh one. And I got the largest size and, while it's super comfy, there's NO support. I'm gonna definitely pick up some of the Relief models. I'm so excited to try this out!
