Last winter I impulsively bought a tiny tin of Nivea lotion at Target. As an avowed lotion-averse person, I never thought I’d be someone who carries lotion around in her purse but I’m now 37 and live in the Midwest and apparently require more moisture than body is capable of producing.
I’m very particular about greasiness level of body lotion and really only like one type (Nivea Skin Firming with Q10) because it soaks into my skin so quickly — in spite of my recent acquiescence to allow lotion into my life, I’m still the person that wipes their hands off after applying it post-shower.
This tiny pocket lotion doesn’t quite meet my exacting standards of rapid absorption, but for $1.79 and a very compact size, I’m willing to adjust a little bit in the name of convenience.
Since purchasing, I’ve used it in the car, at dinner, and while traveling. I’ve offered it to friends to use, have saved Brad’s dry hands several times (there are two types of people in this world — lotion haters & lotion lovers — and they apparently marry each other) and even came to the rescue of a woman I’d never met before at a mahjong event one night.
Sure, there are plenty of mini tubes of lotion that you can carry around that don’t take up much space (I was just gifted this luxe lavender-scented one & it’s very portable!) but you can also carry around an even smaller tin of lotion that takes up even less space that is good enough to be approved by a lotion hater. For less than $2, try it out!

My fave lotion! But I have to get the German formula. I stocked up several years ago and I’m almost out!
