A month or so ago, I was blessed with a TikTok about Dense Bean Salads, the term coined by for the protein & fiber packed salads that she meal preps each week. Starting with a base of canned beans like chickpeas, each dense bean salad (DBS) recipe adds a ton of depth & flavor through a variety of proteins & veggies.
Each recipe also includes an easy dressing, usually some oil & vinegar & seasonings, that marinates deep into the salad throughout the week.
As someone who recently (& relucantly) started tracking her food again with a goal of getting 120+ grams of protein per day, having a huge salad prepped & ready to go has been really helpful.
My delightful friend recently informed me that Violet has a Substack full of DBS recipes & more, so now I don’t have to look her up on TikTok or Instagram when I’m writing my grocery list.
The Sundried Tomato recipe has been my favorite so far, but I’m planning to try them all!
Sundried tomato has had been in an absolute chokehold for months. I just keep coming back to it. Although the peach, steak, and boratta has been calling my name to try.
Her recipes are all so good! Sundried tomato has also been my favorite!
