I would personally like to apologize to all of my local libraries for not embracing them for many years. Libraries are amazing!
I set my first Goodreads goal this year -- fifty books! -- and Multnomah County Library is helping me reach my goals. My Kindle is connected to my library account & I can check out ebooks directly to my device. I've also borrowed audiobooks for long road trips and, most recently, used my account to access Lynda.com for InDesign tutorials (cascading paragraph styles, anyone?!) ALL FOR FREE!
So go get yourself a library card & check out what other resources they have to offer. And don't forget to poke around inside too -- many libraries have beautiful architecture. The photo above is the Boston Public Library, the second public library established in the US (and also, notably, the start of my WORST DATE EVER in 2009.)
