Honestly, there is no beverage I love more than a Diet Coke from McDonald's. While I will consume Diet Coke from other sources, McDonald's Diet Coke specifically is the best. The years I lived in Atlanta, aka Coca-Cola HQ, taught me that McDonald's has the most precise machines that get the syrup:carbonation ratio nearly perfect. (I don't know if it's true, but I've personally spread that rumor around for years.) Now that the weather is warming up, I'm craving a cold one.
And yeah, I know that Diet Coke is "bad" for you, with its "chemicals" & "aspartame" but listen -- I am a child of the 90s that grew up in a house full of zero-calorie drinks (sup, Fresca) so don't expect me to drink regular anything -- the sugar makes it feel like my teeth are wearing sweaters & I'd rather eat a cookie instead. WHO WOULDN'T.
